Hera is a Korean brand that I absolutely, completely and wholeheartedly adore. I’ve been religiously using their products for the past three years, and I can confidently say that they have played a huge part in the very much needed rescuing of my dry skin and dull complexion. If you’ve never tried anything from Hera before, here’s my top recommendations which are well worth checking out.
Cell Essence – Immensely popular among celebrities, makeup artists and bloggers, this carefully crafted skincare product is like magic in a bottle. This multi-benefits essence revives dull skintone, smooths rough skin and exfoliates dead skin cells, moisturizes and soothes irritated skin, reduces skin’s sensitivity & redness, strengthen skin’s barrier, plumps & firm tired saggy skin, and balances sebum production. Like I said, magic in a bottle. Using this product for the first time is certainly a new experience if you’re not used to essences, but the results it provides are just as described! Some may argue that essences aren’t needed in a skincare routine, but if you suffer from tired and dehydrated skin like I do I can tell you this is exactly the kind of product your skin may be crying out for. Knowing as well as I do Hera’s extraordinary abilities to create truly outstanding products, I can’t recommend this essence enough despite the eye-watering price tag.
Aquabolic Moisturizing Emulsion – I have a couple of excellent moisturisers in my skincare cabinet, but this emulsion is by far one of the best hands down! It’s a tad lighter than your usual moisturizer or emulsion, but very hydrating and easily absorbed into the skin. Housed in a frosted glass pump-style bottle, this gorgeous emulsion is truly a God send for all skin types, including oily and acne prone skin, which is perfect if you’re on a market for a lightweight non-greasy moisturizer. The best part? It doesn’t clog pores and gives your skin the right amount of moisturise it needs. I’ve been using it underneath my daily moisturizer for the past two years and my skin absolutely adores it.
White Program Biogenic Effector – I recently shared a full, in-depth review of this little gem yet I can’t help but give it another mention. Me and my skin have a never-ending love for this serum, it’s just one of those products that we both wouldn’t like to be without. I’m not going too much into the details since I published a post about it, but it basically brighten your skin like crazy, minimizes dark spots and gives you a baby-smooth skin in no time. I know it’s a little bit pricey, but 100% worth the splurge. One of the questions I get asked a lot is “does this remove freckles?” and the answer is yes, partially. However, Hera have a stronger serum specially formulated to minimize freckles, the White Program Powder Ampoule.
Oil Serum Magic Formula – It is safe to say that in the recent months, I have fallen head over heels in love with this highly moisturizing and firming serum. The brand contacted me upon release, and as soon as I knew exactly what this product was I knew immediately that I had to have it and that I was going to love it. There’s nothing that excites me as much as a new Hera product, but this serum is on another level! From the moment I started using this serum I became seriously hooked as the lightweight gel-like texture that turns into a nourishing oil that quenches skin’s thirst – and without clogging pores. The Hera Oil Serum Magic Formula is truly magic in a bottle for dry, dehydrated skin in search of intense hydration as it moisturizes even the driest skin from the very first application.
Hera Generlash Mascara – This mascara is an eternal repurchase, and my all-time favorite mascara. It’s the kind of mascara where one coat already makes a huge difference and is perfect for both a beautiful day-time look and full-on evening look. It’s brush is perfect at separating even the tiniest lashes, while the formula does an incredible job at elongating them and giving them plenty of volume. The formula also contains nourishing, lengthening and strengthening ingredients. Another thing I love about it is that it doesn’t clump, flake or smudge at all even after several coats. Have I mentioned how it holds the curl all day long, even without an eyelash curler? [INFO: This mascara was discontinued as of January 2017 #worstdecisionever ]
Eye Designer Pencil – This eyeliner is a recent purchase of mine but I haven’t stopped wearing it since getting my hands on it! Truth be told, I’m absolutely not into this kind of pencil liner as I very much prefer gel liners and liquid liners, but this one is truly outstanding, and that’s coming from an eyeliner addict. The formula is creamy, like most pencils, but it is so thin that you can easily create the most flawless sharp wing. The formula is also budge-proof and smudge-proof, and the color is truly jet black. Oh, and there’s a sharpener inside!
